Today's the day early action decisions were sent out!
If you got in, CONGRATULATIONS!! Enjoy this moment :)
And if you were deferred, don't despair! You have a good chance of getting your big envelope in the spring, and you can use this time to look at other awesome schools that you may not have considered earlier.
Just remember that your acceptance to a school doesn't really matter in the long run. No matter where you go, chances are, you're going to end up loving it. And if you give it a chance and still don't, there's always the option of transferring! Don't feel bad about yourself based on an admission decision -- in the long run, it doesn't mean anything.
For you future UNC Class of 2016-ers, feel free to email me about any questions you have! mewill@live.unc.edu.

Hey Maddy,
How do I find out if I got in or not? Online it says the decisions are not yet available. I'm really confused.
Thanks
Hi there,
Decision letters for Early Action applicants were mailed this week, so you should receive your letter soon. We'll also be posting decisions on MyUNC. Thanks for the question.

If I got a letter saying: "I am sorry to inform you that we have not been able to offer you admission to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill." Is this a letter of deferment, or a letter of rejection? If it is deferment, does that mean I still have a chance of getting accepted?
Hi there, Yes, I'm afraid that sounds like a deny letter. If we had deferred you, that would have been clear in the letter. I'm so sorry we have disappointed you. Let us know if you have any further questions.
