Fall in Chapel Hill...in pictures!

Hi guys! So as you wait for your acceptance envelopes, I thought I'd give you a teaser of life in Carolina in the fall - it's pretty awesome.

I know I'm really late on this, but Halloween on Franklin Street -- awesome. Definitely something to look forward to, I know so many people from other schools who trek up to Chapel Hill just for the Halloween experience.

On Franklin St! prisoner, Nikki Minaj, cheetah, hunter, army cadette, and me: a homemade clown costume! So many people go all out on creativity for their costumes, I felt like I wanted to make mine original too.

And I'm sure you all heard about the epic UNC basketball game against Michigan State... on an aircraft carrier! With Barack and Michelle Obama in attendance! No big deal :P

I watched the game with some of my friends on this huge TV at Carmichael Arena (where women's basketball and volleyball teams play). It was a lot of fun watching this epic game with hundreds of UNC fans! Our student body president, Mary Cooper, was there too.

A less fun part of fall is all the papers and tests that come right before Thanksgiving break. It's the pre-final stress, and you can barely go into a library without seeing crowds of students hunkered down.

papers, papers...help!

And then with fall comes protests! The big thing on campus right now is the proposed tuition hikes - not a fun subject. But a lot of students are really committed to protesting and having their voice heard before the Board of Trustees (who decide things like tuition), which I think is pretty cool.
